Training
Puppy through old age - it is never too early or too late to train, and yes there are training, behavior, and wellness issues that affect older dogs. Older dogs love to feel reconnected to their people as well. Gleanna's 10 year old dog,Tomo, landed a job on a television show and had to come out of retirement. Preparing and working at her role, Tomo became more confident and happy. A dog with a job is a happy dog. Dogs love structure. Structure, consistency, planning, and commitment contribute to a balanced, healthy relationship along with proper exercise and nutrition.

Young puppies can learn too
Young puppies are always learning from the time they are picked up and taken home, why not be teaching them what you want them to learn? Structure, consistency, and planning are the main ingredients to a healthy and happy relationship. Puppy training focuses on issues such as: Housebreaking, biting, chewing and toy selection, jumping, settling down, and socialization as well. We may also talk about diet and exercise.

Group classes
Laissez-faire Dog Teaching Class is held Sundays at 9am in downtown Mystic.

Training your dog to be a TV/movie star
Gleanna has been training animals for television and movies for over ten years - see credits. If you want your dog to learn to behave like a movie star and/or actually be in movies and on TV, this class is the best option for your pet.

Counseling Owners
• Pet Selection - Rhodes Collar takes pride in assisting people with selecting the pet that fits their lifestyle. We find that when people select the right pet based on breed, temperament, size, age, and compatibility that the relationship blooms easily and lasts a life time.

• Behavior, Training, and Wellness - We have an holistic approach which considers the dog's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being and his relationship with his family. This service may cover topics such as: anxiety, aggression, barking, chasing, digging, dominance, fearfulness, fighting (other dogs), jumping, shyness, socialization, stealing, submissive urination, and more.

Outward Bound Hound
Hound hikes are like Doggie Day School on the Road. Rhodes Collar takes your dog or puppy out with others for hikes in the woods, at the beach or other environments to get proper exercise and socialization with other dogs. Dogs become used to bikers, runners, and other people with dogs. Dogs are also taken into real life settings such as downtown areas to learn their manners. Your dog will come home tired and relaxed and be an easier and better behaved family member.

Transportation & Veterinary Hospital Visits
To the groomer, vet or other place you would like your pet to go. Rhodes Collar has even driven pets long distances so your pet doesn't have to fly in cargo. We will take your pet to the vet for you. If you are too busy or uncomfortable in the veterinary hospital environment. Rhodes Collar has taken pets for routine as well as serious illness vet visits near to and far from our home base in Mystic, CT.

Pet sitting and walking
For limited pets and areas, we provide pet care services - visits, walks, exercise, during the day and while you're away.

Works with Cats
